FFIEC Compliance

FFIEC Compliance refers to the guidelines set forth by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) in 2005. Mostly concerning financial institutions, these guidelines focus on the processes and standards required for identifying and mitigating risks to consumer financial data privacy introduced by the evolution of online banking.

The IT Examination Handbook, issued by the FFIEC, provides guidance for financial institutions in the areas of website authentication, encryption for online transaction processing, processes to protect against hackers and cyber criminals and much more.
